Gaslamp Quarter to Host Holiday Pet Parade and Pups in the Pub Party

On Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, California is set to come alive with the annual Pet Parade and Pups in the Pub Party. The event will begin with a parade at 1:00 PM, where furry friends dressed in their most festive costumes will walk the streets of Gaslamp Quarter. Those wishing to register their pets in the parade can do so in advance at The Gaslamp Pet Parade for $25.

The event is free to watch, and spectators can grab a spot at one of the patios along the parade route. The parade will also be led by Grand Marshals, the winners of the 2021 Best in Show. Spectators will be able to witness eight different categories of festive costumes, including Best Parade Float Costume, Best Christmas Spirit, Best Matching Costume (Owner/Pet), Cutest Pet, Most Outrageous Costume, Best Group Costume (3 or more), Best in Show (with the opportunity to be Grand Marshall at next year's event), and the Stella Award in memory of Taylor Kahle, McFarlane Promotions, and Gaslamp Quarter team member.

Winners for the costume contest will be announced at the Pups in the Pub Party which will take place after the parade, from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. Guests of the party can expect to enjoy craft beer, complimentary goody bags, live music, boutique shopping, games for pups and peeps, photo ops, and more.
