
The Chula Vista Police Department is excited to invite residents to their National Night Out event onTuesday, August 2, from 4 – 8 pm, held at the Chula Vista Police Department Headquarters located at 315 Fourth Avenue.
The event is free and will include guided tours of the facility, K-9 demonstrations, a Jaws of Life demonstration by the Chula Vista Fire Department, a Home Depot Children’s Workshop, a kid’s zone area, crime prevention information and an opportunity to meet S.W.A.T. and Mobile Field Force team members.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to interact and meet the Padres' Pad Squad from 4 – 6:30 pm. Attendees can also take a selfie with the Chick-fil-A Cow, enjoy live music by Mariachi Victoria, throw a few rounds at the dunk tank, check out a Chula Vista fire engine, and hang out with members of the United Lowrider Coalition and their six custom lowriders that will be on display! Free tacos will be generously provided by Tacos El Gordo while supplies last.
National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
