As summer comes to an end, San Diegans are being encouraged to soak up the sun by Downtown San Diego Partnership. With the launch of 'Summer in the City,' the organization is offering locals and visiting tourists a chance to experience the wonders of a beautiful cityscape with plenty of outdoor events and activities.
According to Betsy Brennan, the President & CEO of the Downtown Partnership, the goal is to keep the summer alive in San Diego, where the beautiful weather and outdoor lifestyle make it a breeze to have fun safely. With the Delta variant causing problems all over the country, the Downtown Partnership wants all revelers to stay vigilant while enjoying the summer.
The campaign giveaway items will include gift cards to local eateries and shops along with family four-packs to renowned destinations like the USS Midway Museum and New Children's Museum. The campaign's one-stop website, downtownsandiego.org/summer-in-the-city, provides a comprehensive list of every event and activity to choose from, all of which will make it challenging for anyone to have a dull moment.
The events include a Little Italy Art Walk, Sunset Poolside Jazz Series at the Westgate Hotel, and East Village Movies in the Park--Dirty Dancing. The Gaslamp Quarter Throwback Thursday with the Sunset Roller Club has numerous attendees excited, and the Hella Mega Tour ft: Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer is an absolute must-see.
Participating in the Downtown Partnership's Summer in the City will allow San Diego residents and tourists alike to make unforgettable memories as they enjoy the warm and pleasant San Diego weather.
