Update on May 'Maya' Millete Investigation

The Chula Vista Police Department has recently released an update regarding the disappearance of May 'Maya' Millete, who has been missing since January 2021. The department is conducting an investigation in collaboration with the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), with the primary goal to find reasons behind the disappearance of Maya.

The department has been continuously investigating Maya's disappearance since January 11, 2021. Their investigative efforts have included the execution of numerous search warrants, interviews with 71 individuals, and the follow up on over 115 tips related to Maya's possible location and reason for disappearance. They have also conducted multiple searches in the area of East Chula Vista, including 500 Hunt e Parkway.

Investigators have reviewed thousands of pages of data and are still reviewing evidence in the case, in the hopes of finding Maya. The Chula Vista Police Department has also recognized the volunteer search efforts and support from numerous community members assisting in locating Maya.
