The Chula Vista Police Department, with the assistance of a multi-agency working group consisting of the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, the FBI, and the NCIS, has been actively investigating the disappearance of May "Maya" Millete since January 10, 2021.

Maya was reported missing by her family from her home on Thursday, January 7, 2021, and has not been heard from or seen since. The primary goal of the ongoing investigation is to find the reason behind Maya's disappearance.

On July 1st, the Chula Vista Police Department continued their efforts to find the reason by serving a search warrant at Maya's residence on Paseo Los Gatos in Chula Vista.
