The Chula Vista Police Department, along with several law enforcement agencies, including the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), have been working tirelessly to investigate the disappearance of May 'Maya' Millete, who has been missing for almost four months.
According to the official police statement released on May 4, 2021, the multi-agency working group's primary goal is to bring May home to her family or bring justice to her family regarding her disappearance. Investigators have conducted numerous search warrants, reviewed over 55 tips, and interviewed 56 individuals to generate new leads and obtain evidence.
The Chula Vista Police Department recognizes the pain and concern May’s disappearance has brought to her family, friends, and the community, and they continue to keep May and her family in their thoughts every day. Working closely with the multi-agency working group, Chula Vista Police Chief Roxana Kennedy stated that the investigators are dedicated to finding May or bringing justice to May’s family, thanking those that have reached out with information and tips to detectives.
Despite the efforts of law enforcement agencies, May is still missing, and investigators continue to review multiple items of evidence to find her. Community volunteers also continue to help locate May on a weekly basis, hoping to find clues related to her disappearance.
The Chula Vista Police Department urges anyone with any information regarding May’s disappearance to contact San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 or CVPD at 619-691-5151, no matter how small the detail.
